Great Lakes & Iron Range

Layout Description

The Great Lakes & Iron Range is a heavy haul railroad that is set in the late steam era and that services the ore docks on the Great Lakes. The railroad includes both the urban canyons of the lakeside metropolis and the rural charm of the glaciated countryside.
The jobs on the layout include two yardmasters, a drill crew, and plenty of road and switching crews to keep this moderate Class One operating at full efficiency. We use NCE DCC and FRS radios to operate.
The scenery is 85% complete and it makes the layout worth visiting if you're in the area. It's even better when you operate on this layout!
