The Sierra Northern is a proto-freelanced, regional line located in northeast California. The year is sometime in the early 1970's. The SN is an all ALCo powered, Diesel operation, and hauls logs, lumber, minerals, rock and suplies along with material to support local commerce.
The SN has live interchange with both the Western Pacific and Southern Pacific. A log train is operated by Pacific Lumber on trackage rights.
Operating positions include one Dispatcher, one yard job and four main line trains. There is a lot of opportunity for switching.
