Layout Description

The Montrose Division of the Denver and Rio Grande Western is a layout depicting the Montrose Branch located in southwestern Colorado. The branch mainline is point to point, starting in Grand Junction staging and ending in Montrose. There are two fictional branches originating out of Olathe. The standard gauge Park branch serves a large coal mine. The narrow gauge Empire branch consists of a main yard at Empire and a hard rock mining district on the Silver City branch.
