PRR Laurel Valley Secondary

Layout Description

My PRR Laurel Valley Secondary is a freelanced 45 miles of secondary track from Picairn Yard (Pittsburgh, PA) to Connellsville, PA. in southwestern Pennsylvania in October 1957. We serve 33 online industrial customers in four switching districts. My current schedule is 24 trains. The railroad has over 70 structures and 50 plus custom built loads for gons and flats. Dispatcher and phone system are used during op sessions. 60% steam and 40% diesel. The PRR interchanges with the B&O and the WM. West end staging (Pittsburgh) has 11 tracks and east end (Connellsville) has 8 tracks. All trains dispatch with pre-written Train Orders. Mainline uses radio control throttles and the yards and switching areas use hand held throttles. Rest room available. My railroad building "The Depot" is located in back beyond the driveway. You may park in my driveway (if your vehicle has no leaks).
