Pittsburgh & West Virginia and Union Railroad

Layout Description

It is 1964 after merger into the N&W system. The railroad is multideck . The P&WV is on the lower deck and the United States Steel Clairton Steel Mill is on the upper deck. The railroad is based on the prototype of both railroads. The two railroad are connected by a branch line via a helix. The P&WV Staging is on the lowest deck and is connected by the helix. Track warrants or TT&TO are used for operation. The Mill has two man operation. One is the Ingram Yardmaster and the other is the "CREW" There are twelve different jobs in the mill that have to be done. One at a time, cannot combine jobs. The P&WV has Six Alpha Jets , Four locals and extras. Rook is the main yard will be busy. Grain trains, PRR local at Bridgeville, works it industries and the P&WV interchanges at Bridgeville.
