Columbus Belt Line

Layout Description

The Conrail Columbus Belt Line (CBL) is a proto-freelanced model railroad set in 1977. It is based on a planned but never built PRR belt line around the south side of Columbus. All industries were located in Columbus but have been relocated to the CBL. The CBL is a point-to-point model railroad. Three crews handle five industrial runs and several transfers or interchange runs. A fourth operator works Berwick Yard, under the direction of a yardmaster, usually the owner. Trains running on the unsignaled (dark) CBL is done under the guidance of the Eastmoor Block operator, who is usually an experienced CBL operator. He authorizes movement on the secondary track. Most all locomotive feature sound on this Digitrax DCC controlled layout. If you enjoy lots of switching, sign up for the Columbus Belt Line.

Layout is located in Worthington OH approximately 9 miles/15 minutes from the Convention site.
